3. When and where is the story set?
Tempted by the Billionaire Tycoon is a contemporary romance set in the Lake District in the UK, Paris and Versailles in France and in California.
4. What should we know about him/her?
Nic’s a hot, self-made billionaire with a heart-full of personal demons.
“The man stood taller than the six-foot hedge. He wore the typical rich man’s casual uniform: an expensive white polo and beige trousers, which highlighted his olive sun-touched skin. But on him the informal attire looked sharp, as though he were about to head into a major business negotiation. The designer stubble, high cheekbones, his nonchalant posture: all screamed hot Italian lover.”
5. What is the main conflict? What messes up his/her life?
Nic was born on an island off the coast of Italy. Nic’s father had been the mastermind behind all the illegal business, drug deals, gambling and prostitution. Nic’s brother was being groomed to take over but had died of the drug overdose. His father then turned to young Nicolo but Nic refused to have any involvement. The result, his father had forced him from the island and threaten him never to return.
Now, Nic is a self-made billionaire but several odd accidents at his UK resort are threatening the profitability of this business. He holds the GM, Poppy Bradford responsible, so she has to go.
“Nic stood up, walked to the window and opened it. The salt-laced breeze played across his skin. As always, his gaze swept directly over the beach to the horizon of the Pacific Ocean. His heart was always drawn to his island home far away. The island from which he’d been expelled. The pain never left.
He quickly turned away from the brilliant blue and his dark memories, and looked over to the smooth green lawns of his multi-award-winning resort. He’d searched the southern Californian coast for over a year to find the perfect location for his first Sirona resort here in Carmel. Now thousands of guests every year enjoyed rejuvenation at one of his fifty international properties scattered across the globe; from Sydney to Beijing to Rio.”

Leisl is a tall red head with an overly large imagination. As a child, she identified strongly with Anne of Green Gables. A voracious reader and a born performer, it came as no surprise to anyone when she did a double major in English Literature and Drama for her BA, then went on to a career as an actor, singer and dancer, as well as script writer, stage manager and musical director for cabaret and theatre restaurants (one of which she co-owned and ran for six years).
After starting a family Leisl stopped performing and instead, began writing the stories that had been plaguing her dreams. Leisl's stories have won and placed in many competitions in Australia and the US, including the STALI, Golden Opportunities, Heart of the West, Linda Howard Award of Excellence, Touch of Magic and many others.
